With its diverse landscapes and interesting stops, this hiking trail is a rewarding experience for nature and culture enthusiasts.\r\n\r\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Attention!<\/strong><\/span> The Lahn-Dill-Bergland Trail has two starting points for the hike, Dillenburg or Herborn. Both variants converge at the barbecue hut in Bicken. Since the NST runs from Dillenburg to Herborn, we simply switch variants at this intersection.\r\n\r\nAt the Bismarck Temple, we leave the Rothaarsteig, from there we go through the Isabellenh\u00fctte into the forest. Once you leave the forest, the Lahn-Dill-Bergland Trail passes through the village of Niederscheld. The route continues through forested areas and passes the idyllically located Nesselhofteiche (Nesselhof Ponds) before arriving at the Bicken shelter, where the first two stages of the Lahn-Dill-Bergland Trail come together.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]After the shelter in Bicken, we soon cross the B 255 and descend into the valley, then climb up to the Jahntempel, which was built in 1928 and dedicated to the Turnvater Jahn (Father of Gymnastics). Shortly afterward, we reach the Hombergtempel, from which you have a beautiful view of the city and the Dill Valley. The descent to Herborn now begins, which also serves as the starting point of the Westerwaldsteig.\r\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Conclusion:<\/strong><\/span> This variant of the North-South Trail was added in 2021 and significantly enhances the route.
