An alternative for the NST\/E1 was developed and successfully tested by Heike (&#8220;Pocahontas&#8221;) and Rainer (&#8220;L\u00f6schhiker&#8221;). Many thanks to these two &#8220;Northern Lights&#8221; for your fantastic support![\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]Instead of the ferry in Blankenese, NST hikers now use <a href=\"https:\/\/hadag.de\/de\/linien\/64\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ferry 64<\/a> from Teufelsbr\u00fcck to Finkenwerder. This ferry is well-equipped, with onboard restrooms and numerous USB charging ports. It departs every 20 minutes.\r\n\r\nIn Finkenwerder, disembark at the &#8220;R\u00fcschpark&#8221; stop and follow the Elbe waterfront westward to a small observation tower in the river. From there, a new 13-kilometer section begins, which reconnects with the regular NST route above Neu Wulmstorf.\r\n\r\nThis new section is unlikely to have NST markings in 2025, as we want to gather your feedback first.
