I&#8217;m 55 years old, and at this age, you start to think about what you&#8217;ve done so far and, more importantly, what you still want to accomplish. Somehow, work didn&#8217;t bring the fulfillment it used to, and the kids have been out of the house for a while.\r\n\r\nHmm, so what to do? A big THRU HIKE in Germany as a possible option? Since I didn&#8217;t want to wait until retirement, I decided to go for it. I handed in my resignation, and with the time left, I started gathering everything I needed. And here I am, facing my 3,582 km on foot!!! I can hardly describe the excitement for what awaits me from shortly after Easter until October 2022.&#8221;\r\n\r\nOf course, we, from the North South Trail Initiative, wish him nothing but the best weather and pleasant encounters on his journey along the NST.
