On January 3rd, 2025, another major milestone for the NST was achieved! The Nord Süd Trail now has an official starting point at the Ellenbogen on Sylt, marking the northern terminus of the trail. In collaboration with the Nature Conservation Authority of the Nordfriesland District and the landowners of the Sylter Ellenbogen, an official trailhead sign was installed. Our special thanks go to Mr. Thomas Diedrichsen and, of course, to our trail coordinator Peter “Hobble.” So, dear thru-hikers — hike on!
