A professor for the NST
“My goal is to complete the NST as the first in under 100 days. I hope I’m not setting myself too high of a target…”
You included this sentence during your registration for a thru-hike of the NST. It’s always right to set goals in life; whether you can actually achieve them is, of course, a different story. Congratulations! You not only completed the entire North-South Trail in an impressive 87 hiking days, but you also did it in very modest weather this year. We are excited to welcome you into our NST family and hope that you will experience many more thrilling adventures in nature in the future. Never let go of what you have achieved, and inspire others to do the same. The NST is not just a trail, but a community of like-minded individuals who appreciate the beauty and challenges of nature.
We from the NST initiative also thank you for passing along the numerous pieces of information about the shelters and water sources along the way. So, dear Professor, welcome to the NST Hall of Fame and never forget…
“no pain, no dirt, no Haldenwanger Eck.”
