Such a long thruhike is only something for young people…
Does this sentence sound familiar? Hansel (77) and Gretel (66) not only ran the entire Appalachian Trail in one piece in 2015, but now also the complete 2101 miles of the North-South Trail (of course in the Alpine version) 😛 . Maybe the two times are an impetus, or an inspiration for those who always invent excuses and reasons not to realize their dream after all. For me, it was an honor that the two have run the NST and thus contributed to the fact that this path is becoming increasingly known in Germany. I will remember the beautiful evening with you both at Halfway Point for a long time. I wish you all the best and especially good health on your next Thruhikes…Maybe on the PCT? Or once again the AT? This time you will tell stories to the Americans…From a path in the middle of Europe, in a distant land, full of castles, palaces, myths and legends….
