“Don’t Follow Me, I’m Lost Too” was written on your baseball cap, but surely you weren’t lost. And gladly, we all followed in your footsteps. Your footprints amused us, and you always found authentic words about the trail. From the NST Initiative, it gives us great pleasure that another thru-hiker has spoken so positively about the trail route and hiking in Germany overall. It’s a shame that our encounter on the Heidschnuckenweg was so brief; I would have loved to chat with you a bit more about the wisdom of “Mister Kanister.” I also want to mention your diligent work in providing information about new shelters and water sources. All this information will be integrated into the new NST app by Wanderfreund. So, dear Moonshine, we will certainly meet again, and never forget:
